Teresa brings over three decades of expertise in medical device regulation, quality systems, and certification leadership, gained across both industry and regulatory bodies. Most recently, as Head of Approved Body at LNE-GMED UK, Teresa led the successful implementation of ISO/IEC 17065 and ISO/IEC 17021-1, securing designation under UK MDR 2002 Parts II, III, and IV. Under her leadership, the team enabled UKCA marking for a range of medical and non-medical products.
Her strategic direction positioned LNE-GMED UK as a founding member of Team-AB, where she played a key role in shaping UK regulatory policy. She also supported the first-ever assessment under the MHRA’s Innovative Device Access Pathway (IDAP) – a pioneering initiative to accelerate access to cutting-edge technologies for patients.
During her 20-year tenure at BSI, Teresa held senior roles in auditing, CE marking scheme management, certification, and global operations. She was instrumental in guiding manufacturers and Notified Bodies through major regulatory transitions, including MDR, IVDR, MDSAP, and COVID-19 contingency planning. After earning an Honours and Master’s degree in Chemistry early in her career, Teresa worked in the contact lens manufacturing sector during the initial rollout of the Medical Device Directive, gaining a unique and practical understanding of manufacturers' challenges.

Tony moves easily among multi-functional and multi-cultural teams. He is noted for Leadership, International Expansion and Product Innovation. He is currently engaged as co-founder and CEO of Eyecheck, Inc, a vitamin supplement company specialising in eye health.

As Director of BMC, Ms Barons provides clinical research consulting services to international medical technology organisations, device manufacturers and suppliers.
